Future Leaders Tour VMCH’s St. Clare: A Glimpse into the Future of Retirement Living

On 23 June 2025, the Property Council of Australia’s Future Leaders Committee had the opportunity to tour VMCH’s flagship development, St. Clare—a retirement precinct redefining modern downsizing in the heart of Kew.

Spanning 1.4 hectares, St. Clare is a thoughtfully designed community that blends premium residences with a lifestyle focused on wellbeing, connection, and independence. With 75% of homes already sold and a planned completion date of December 2025, the precinct is quickly becoming a benchmark for retirement living in Australia.

Inspired by the natural beauty of nearby Studley Park and backed by two years of resident-focused research, St. Clare offers spacious, light-filled apartments, lush gardens, and six-star hotel-style service. The development is designed to grow with its residents, providing not just a home for life, but also a reassuring sense of security and peace of mind.

During the visit, the committee explored the prototype apartment and walked the site, gaining insight into the quality of materials, attention to detail, and the collaborative efforts driving the project forward. The PCA’s recent reports have highlighted both the progress and the proactive approach to quality assurance, with Stonebank’s team working closely with Hacer to address and resolve key delivery concerns.

The committee left impressed and eager to return—especially for a coffee in the gardens once they’re complete.
